Last month, we launched a call for social reporters to cover the Fin4Ag International conference that will take place in Nairobi from 14 - 18 July 2014. 694 applications were received in English and French and after processing and evaluating them, 15 reporters have been selected for the on-site team and over 300 reporters will form part of the larger online team.

Youth Citizen Entrepreneurship Competition

The Youth Citizen Entrepreneurship Competition is an exciting new opportunity to develop your innovative ideas and projects to create positive change in your community and the world. With support and feedback from peers around the world, you can turn your passion for a better world into reality.

Agriculture players who are attending the ICT4ag conference 2013 in Kigali are convinced that ICT-enabled projects being developed by young people can lead to the intended agricultural transformation in due time.

The Minister of Agriculture & Animal Resources (MINAGRI), Dr. Agnes Kalibata, during the closing of the ICT4AG Conference, committed herself to put the Yala Prize, worth $30,000, to a yearly ICT for Agriculture competition in a bid to encourage youth to come up with ICT-enabled solutions for agriculture.
