In the last week, the social reporters, together with the online team, had also engaged in a pre-conference e-discussion themed “youth and agriculture sciences in Africa” with the focus on 3 sub-themes.
Theme 1: Institutional systems and policies for making science work for African agriculture
Theme 2: Sustainable financing of Science, Technology and Innovation for African agriculture
Theme 3: Human capital development and the Youth
The e-discussions were facililated by the following members of the social reporting team (both onsite and remote):
• Theme 1: Institutional systems and policies for making science work for African agriculture (Ado Woldu – English; Carole Ricco – French)
• Theme 2: Sustainable financing of Science, Technology and Innovation for African agriculture (Djamila Mathu – English; Ily Sombé Abraham – French)
• Theme 3: Human capital development and the Youth (Olumide Idowu – English; Louis Agbokou – French)
Two other facilitators, Oyindamola Asaaju (English) and Vanessa Linda Kapche (French) provided overall support to the facilitation of all the themes and will be helping with the summary report of the discussions.
