What is ARDYIS?

ARDYIS is a framework of actions which aims to raise the capacity and opportunities of youth in agriculture through ICTs in ACP countries (Africa, Caribbean and Pacific).

Its key activities include the Youth in Agriculture Blog Competition (YoBloCo Awards) and the AgriHack Talent initiative.

In the framework of the 7th Africa Agriculture Science Week (AASW7), the Technical Centre for Agriculture and Rural Cooperation (CTA) and the Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa (FARA), in collaboration with YPARD, will be organising a social reporting activity.  The event will be held from 13th to 16th June 2016 in Kigali, Rwanda.

An increasing number of young innovators and entrepreneurs in developing countries now develop ICT for agriculture solutions to strengthen agri-food systems in their respective countries, and to provide employment and livelihood opportunities for themselves and other young people.
