What is ARDYIS?

ARDYIS is a framework of actions which aims to raise the capacity and opportunities of youth in agriculture through ICTs in ACP countries (Africa, Caribbean and Pacific).

Its key activities include the Youth in Agriculture Blog Competition (YoBloCo Awards) and the AgriHack Talent initiative.

The international conference on ‘Young People, Farming & Food: The Future of the Agrifood Sector in Africa’ will be held on 19-21 March 2012 in Accra Ghana and will be organised by the Future Agricultures Consortium and the Institute of Statistical Social and Economic Research (ISSER).

They invite papers that offer rigorous analysis from various critical perspectives around the topics and questions mentioned in the announcement. They also encourage comparative studies and welcome proposals for thematic panels.

The deadline is on August 31, 2011.
