At the Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Cooperation (CTA), we believe that Web 2.0 and ICTs tools in general can play an important role in agriculture, notably when these tools are used by youth!
Indeed, information is a key resource in agriculture, and now that the Internet is becoming increasingly accessible, sharing such information and interacting with key stakeholders is getting easier, quicker and more participatory.
This is one of the reasons why, in the framework of the ARDYIS Project, CTA, in collaboration with FARA, Yam-Pukri, CAFAN, AYF, ANAFE, SPC/PAFPNET, has organized the YoBloCo Awards, a competition for young people and institutions working with youth, interested in blogging around agriculture and rural development (more information here about the Yobloco Awards : prizes, rules, etc.).
Entries for the YoBloCo Awards are divided into two categories:
- Institutional Blogs
- Individual Blogs
92 blogs were received in total. We have created this blog as part of the process to evaluate the entries we have received. We would like the public to contribute to this evaluation.
To vote for your best blogs in the Individual Category, click here to view eligible entries. The first prize for this category is 1,500 Euros and other prizes will be awarded!
For the institutional category, we want to know what you think about the blogs submitted, what is interesting about them, etc. As we haven’t receive many blogs for some regions, you are not asked formally to vote for blogs in this category, but the jury will take into account your comments to select best blogs. The prize for each regional winner selected by the jury is 3,000 Euros!
