With the motto “striving to achieve food security through the use of historical resources and technology”, the Sandy Point Agricultural Cooperative Society Ltd continues to promote awareness in the agricultural sector through the use of ICT. This blog is compilation of activities achieved by our cooperative, as well as articles written by local media houses with the intention of highlighting the hard work and dedication of the Coop. The blog is very informative and creative. It also depicts the history of the group as it when through the different stages of its existence. The viewer can also get a real picture of the cooperative challenges, success and issued faced by youth in agriculture as he or she reads the short articles and take a look at the pictures. As youth involvement continues to be the driving force of our cooperative, this blog can be seen as mechanism which can be used to build the interest in the youth for agriculture. There are a few videos which can give the viewer live footage of the group executing its goals.

Organization profile:
Agriculture not only bestows riches upon a people and a nation, but agriculture is genuinely the only riches a nation can call its own. Agriculture then is the only pillar upon which every nation should be standing. Agriculture is a very important aspect of the community development, thus with this common goal the Sandy Point Agricultural Cooperative Society (SPACS) was created on the 11th January 2010.The Sandy Point Agricultural Cooperative Society Ltd is a group of young male and female who are committed to promoting agriculture by the diversification of the agricultural sector whether through the use of new technologies, agro processing and agro tourism. The Cooperative has been involved in numerous activities since its inception in January 2010 we were able to revitalize the Sandy Point Public Market which was closed for over 10 years, and we are still doing business up to this day.
