Que signifie ARDYIS ?

Les jeunes des pays ACP sont rarement attirés par l’agriculture. En organisant son premier “hackathon”, le CTA offre aux jeunes diplômés, passionnés de développement informatique, l’occasion d’exprimer leurs talents et de découvrir les possibilités offertes par le secteur agricole.

Today marks the International Girls in ICT Day! Initiated by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in 2010, this day celebrates the interests and strengths of young girls and women in Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) and is a way to encourage them to choose a career in this area.

Background

In 2011, the International Communication Union (ITU) launched the “Girls and ICT Day” to celebrate girls’ interests and strengths in Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs), and to encourage them to choose a career in this area. Since then, it is being celebrated on the 4th Thursday in April, through different events organised globally. In this context and in the framework of its ARDYIS project, the Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Cooperation (CTA), in collaboration with the African Youth Foundation (AYF) is organising an e-debate on Enhancing Young Women engagement in ICT and Agriculture.

Le Centre technique de coopération agricole et rurale ACP-UE (CTA), en collaboration avec l’Association Africaine du Crédit Rural et  Agricole (AFRACA), organise une conférence internationale sur le Financement des chaînes de valeurs agricoles « Fin4Ag » à Nairobi, Kenya du 14 au 18 juillet 2014.
