Award Ceremony of ARDYIS Contest at CTA Week 2010 in South Africa

The finals (oral presentations) of the CTA ARDYIS Essay Contest as well as the prize giving ceremony will be held during the CTA Week 2010 events in Pretoria, South Africa.

The CTA Week 2010 (22-26 November) will see the Annual Seminar on Better Water Management for Sustainable Agriculture, the 9th Advisory Committee meeting on Science and Technology for ACP Agricultural and Rural Development on “Science, Indigenous Knowledge and Innovation”, and the annual ICT Observatory on “The potential of mobile applications to deliver rural information services”. In addition, the finals and award ceremony of the competition on ’Agriculture, Rural Development and Youth in the Information Society’ (ARDYIS) and the announcement of the winners of the CTA Peoples’ Choice Photo Contest on People, Water and ICTs” will also take place.

The CTA 2010 Week is organized with the partnership of the NEPAD Secretariat (NPCA).

The 12 ARDYIS Essay contest finalists are also automatically selected to attend the seminars organized in order to network and strengthen their knowledge on issues discussed.
